Winston-Lutz Test

Description

The "RIT 3D EPID Stereotactic Alignmet of 12 EPID images with gantry, collimator and couch at different angles. The RIT software automatically calculates the systemic displacement on each principal axis using the method described in Low's paper on minimization of target localization error in accelerator based radiosurgery. The 3D dispalcement is the simple Euclidean vector magnitude of the three axes arrors.

The gantry deviation plot shows the deviation in the Gantry-Table, AB, and collimator planes as the gantry rotates about isocenter.

Virtual Starshots of the Gantry, Couch and Collimator are generated and displayed individually. Couch Optimization based on an optimization method developed by Dr. Sam Hancock to minimize the total isocenter deviation of the Linac by adjusting the couch axis.
